Professional Mission
My mission is to promote feline welfare and public education through evidence-based behavioural science, compassionate consultation, and accessible owner support. I am committed to helping cats and their families build healthier, more positive relationships by addressing behavioural challenges with humane, science-led approaches that prioritise emotional wellbeing, long-term welfare, and sustainable behavioural outcomes.
Through professional behaviour consultation, owner education, and continued academic development, I aim to improve public understanding of feline behaviour, stress physiology, environmental wellbeing, and the human-animal bond. My work focuses not only on resolving unwanted behaviours, but also on identifying the underlying causes of stress and conflict in order to create lasting, welfare-focused solutions that improve quality of life for both cats and their caregivers.
I am particularly passionate about advancing awareness of the role that behavioural health plays in animal welfare, including the prevention of behaviour-related relinquishment, chronic stress, and breakdowns in the human-animal relationship. By supporting early intervention, education, and evidence-based behavioural care, I strive to help reduce avoidable surrender of cats to shelters and rescue organisations while promoting more informed and compassionate standards of companion animal care.
My long-term professional goal is to contribute to the advancement of feline behavioural knowledge through continued education, interdisciplinary learning, public outreach, and the development of accessible educational resources for cat owners, rescue organisations, and the wider community. Drawing upon my background in feline behaviour, psychology, and education, I aim to bridge the gap between behavioural science and practical owner support in ways that benefit both animal welfare and public understanding.
Through ongoing professional development, collaboration, and public education initiatives, I hope to contribute to the growing recognition of feline behavioural health as an important component of animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and community wellbeing.
